KILOWATT Kampout JUNE 18-20 2004

Our 62nd Kilowatt Kampout was held at Outdoor World in Moody Beach,

Maine. Surprisingly 18 campers attended despite the 3 or 4 hours it took to

get there. Many of us took the Friday off from work and started arriving

between 10:30 and 11:00 A.M.

Coffee and desserts were shared Friday night at the Bidwell’s site as we

visited around the campfire.

Saturday was a bit misty, but that didn’t stop us from taking a tour of the

surroundings. Many of us drove down to Perkins Cove in Ogunquit,. We

peaked in on all the tiny shops by the cove, and you are right- no one came

out empty handed.

After enjoying a bowl of fresh fish chowder at one of the local Lobster Pots,

we all strolled along The Marginal Way, beside the rocky coast.

Midafternoon, we headed back to the campground to prepare for our

traditional “pot-luck” The meal was held at the pavilion, and afterwards, we

headed over to the wagon masters, for smokes, marshmallows, and popcorn

around the fire.

Sunday morning, coffee and donuts were shared at the Bidwell’s site.

Those who attended were: Brien & Dorothy Scott, & children Matthew &

Sarah, George & Joanne Lamson, Ed & Betty Lempke, Jeff & Adele Burton,

Mike & Marie Santos, -Lauren & Katlin Santos, Lenny & Shelley Nash,

Walter & Sandy Sacharcyzk, Dick & Marilyn Ruff, Jack & Carol Kizilski,
