The 56th Kilowatt Kampout was hosted by Jeff Burton and Bob

Bidwell at Prospect Mt. in Granville Ma. Bob and Jeff arrived early on Friday

to get things set up for the big pig roast to be held on Saturday night.

It was very hot on Friday and Saturday with highs in the 80’s to mid 90’s!

Friday night we enjoyed goodies around the fire as usual, and Saturday many

of us went swimming in the beautiful pool, while others had to slave over the

hot open fire!

A big thanks to Louie Negron who came up on Friday night to help Bob

prepare the pig, and to all who helped turn the pig on the spicket, on

Saturday. We gathered for our potluck and pig roast around 5:45pm,

enjoying many tasty dishes, as well as the delicious pork! It was so good, I

think everyone had their till!

During the clean up DJ Dave started playing oldies and many gathered

after to put in their requests. Some of us even joined in singing as we listened

to the tunes from the 60’s. As usual, we sat around the fire at dusk, passing

popcorn and peanuts.

Sunday morning coffee and doughnuts were served at the Bidwells, in the

middle of a strong thunderstorm, I might add! We were thankful that the

predicted rain, at least held off through the pig roast.

We had 18 campers that attended, and about 70 people; our largest group .

in a long while! Goodby until fall!
