Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour are possible in the heaviest bands. * Impacts…hazardous travel conditions expected. Heavy snow will significantly impact the morning commute. Along the immediate South Coast…Cape Cod and the islands milder air has changed the snow to rain. Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour will be likely in the heaviest snow bands through 8 am…especially in the interior. Rain or mixed rain and snow will continue along the immediate South Coast…but will change back to snow from west to east between 8 am and noon. Winds may gust to over 50 mph along the coast…especially the cape and islands.
